Who doesn’t like a cold, sweet delicious strawberry smoothie to match the mood of SPRING?!?!?!
And when said smoothie is healthy…. everybody wins!!!! Especially your waistline;-)
This smoothie is so versatile that you can tweak it with what you have around. If you have raspberries freshly picked from the berry patch, throw those in there instead of strawberries! If you have a banana laying around that is on the verge of no return, throw that in too!
If you don’t have mint growing like a weed out in your garden like I do (yes, it is well contained because my momma taught me well;-) then don’t use it.
If you have kale growing too big and starting to go to seed… throw that in there and add to the nutritional content and taste of your smoothie.
No matter how you decide to make this smoothie…. as long as you aren’t choosing to use ice cream and heavy whipping cream… you are pretty likely to be at least in the relative range of healthy;-)
But this recipe I will share with you is straight up HEALTHY!!!!!
No guilt!!!!
So now I want you to imagine yourself sitting on a beach drinking this sweet drink… instead of watching the rain fall (AGAIN!) like I am right now;-)
- 6-10 large strawberries
- 10 drops vanilla stevia
- 8 drops chocolate stevia
- ½ c. cottage cheese
- 2-3 mint leaves (optional)
- 2 c. ice
- 2-3 Tbsp. water or milk
- Put all ingredients in a blender and mix it up.
- Put it in a pretty cup with a mint leaf on top and a strawberry on the rim to make it pretty.
- Enjoy!
You will not be disappointed with this recipe! It is creamy and delicious! There are so many variations to smoothies and so many different things to try to make it exactly how you like it without sacrificing the healthy factor of your smoothie!
