This taco seasoning is sooooo easy, you will be kicking yourself that you have been paying for the highly processed, full of sugar and MSG junk from the store!
I whip this up about once a year (we don’t seem to have taco very much but if you do you would make it a little more often than that… but not much… I promise. Or just double, or triple the recipe;-) and store it in a cute glass jar.
It’s always ready to use for yummy yummy tacos:-)
- ½c. chili powder
- ¼c. onion powder
- ⅛ c. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. Paprika
- 1 Tbsp. sea salt
- Put all ingredients into a jar and shake that baby up!
- This stores just fine in a cupboard with your other spices.
Sometimes I add a little bit more salt to the meat I am cooking but really…
~It’s great in Lettuce Taco Salads…
~It’s great in tacos (is this one obvious????)…
~It’s great in Mexican Zucchini Boats…
~It’s great in Mexican Stuffed Peppers too!!!!!
THIS STUFF IS SOOOO GOOD AND IT IS ALL INGREDIENTS YOU CAN PRONOUNCE so you know they are good for you!!!!!!

Jillynn, I had to laugh when I saw your post today. We must be thinking on very similar lines. I posted my ranch dressing mix around the same time you posted yours and my taco seasoning mix is in my “list of blog post ideas.” Great minds think alike I guess? Your recipe looks great and is very similar to mine.
Julie,
That is hilarious! Great minds do think alike because I posted my Ranch Dressing Mix recipe a couple weeks back! Check it out and see if we use something similar there too! Just too funny;-)
